From the UK originally, Ruth has travelled to many places to dive, and loves the diversity of underwater life that each location has offered. She did her open water course in Cyprus in 2002, followed by the advanced course on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia 6 months later. Once back in the UK she undertook the Rescue and Dive Master courses in the cold water quarries of the UK. As a professional diver she then spent 3 months diving the MesoAmerican Barrier Reef in Mexico as part of a Marine Biology Research project. Vietnam soon followed, where she did her PADI Instructor course and became a Master Scuba Diver Trainer. Ruth has since helped to set up, open and manage a 5* dive resort in Indonesia.
Keen to explore cooler waters, she went to work in Malta in search of swim throughs, tunnels, drop offs and wrecks. Iceland, and the crystal clear visibility, has been on her diving bucket-list for many years and she is super happy to be here now.
