Join us for 3 days diving at some of Iceland´s most spectacular dive sites.  A mix of crystal clear fresh water, and ocean sites full of marine life.

After each dive we explore the stunning landscape through sightseeing, or take a bath in one of Iceland´s many hot pots.

Description

Join us for a 3-Day dive expedition around Reykjavik. During these 3 days we experience diving at Iceland´s most spectacular dive sites, a mix of fresh water lake, and the North Atlantic ocean. After the dives we pack up our dive gear and continue the day through exploring the land around us through sightseeing, or relaxing in one of the many natural hot springs.

Day 1:

-2 dives in the world famous Silfra fissure, where visibility extends 100 meters!

-Experience walking and diving in between two tectonic plates.

-Visit the UNESCO world heritage site Thingvellir, home to the oldest democratic parliament setting in the world.

-Sightseeing in the popular Golden Circle area, visit Geysir and Gullfoss

Day 2:

-2 dives in Geothermal lake Kleifarvatn. See how volcanic gases erupts from the ground, creating a Jacuzzi like environment, mixed with the spookiness of a boiling lake floor and geothermal caves.

-Visit the geothermal area of Krusavik. Watch mini geysers erupting get surrounded by the mist and steam of the volcanic sulphur.

Day 3:

-2 dives in one of the best ocean sites. The macro life will amaze you with colourful nudibranchs, skeleton shrimps and tiny snail. Here lives crabs of all sizes, and a variety of North Atlantic fish.

-Relax in the secret lagoon, the oldest natural geothermal swimming pool in the country.

-Enjoy the village of Fludir surrounded by the Icelandic country side, away from the tourists.

 

Each day includes a convenient pick up from your accommodation in Reykjavik, where we also drop you off after at the diving and sightseeing. Hot chocolate and cookies are included after each dive, and there will be lots of opportunities to buy lunch and snacks along the way.

If you are bringing your own dive gear we will store all your gear in our heated dive shop, and we will dry it for you each night. You can also chose to rent all dive gear, dry suits and warm undergarment  from us. We are using top quality dry suits and undergarment from Waterproof and 0´Three.

 

Itinerary

For this tour we need you to have previous dry suit experience, either dry suit certification or a minimum of 10 logged dry suit dives.

It is important that you have dived in a dry suit within the last 2 years, and that you feel fully confident with dry suit diving, to ensure you can enjoy the tour in a relaxed and safe way.

All dives will be guided by one of our knowledgable and experienced dive professionals.

In comparison to the groups from the other company with had over 15 people per group, I was very glad I went with Scuba Iceland. The more personal attention and smaller ratio helped with the experience. Also, from a cost point of view, they don't charge extra 5000 isk like some companies for pick up.
