The next day we will go to Thingvellir National Park for 2 dives in the one and only Silfra Fissure.

Availability: May to September

Minimum requirements for diving: A minimum age limit of 18. PADI Open Water certification or equivalent from any internationally recognised dive agency. In order to participate in this course, you will need to complete a PADI medical form, please take a look at the form before committing to your booking

Difficulty: Demanding. This tour involves a little hiking with your equipment as we are diving in a pristine National park and as such we can’t build anything on site. The walk from the exit of the dive site is approx 500m.

Alternatives: Snorkel Silfra day tour for people not able to complete the course but still want to see the amazing visibility Silfra Fissure has to offer.

Please bring:
– Your PADI Open Water diving certification or equivalent from any recognized dive agency: Without your certification, you are not allowed to dive
– Long warm underwear and warm socks, preferable in wool or fleece. You will wear this under the dry suit
– A set of spare clothes/socks and a towel (just in case your base layer gets a bit wet)

Excluded: The PADI Dry Suit Speciality Manual is excluded from the course price and costs ISK 4.990,- extra.
To save time study it and fill out the Knowledge Reviews in the PADI Dry Suit Speciality Manual before the course.

Amazing experience. Small group size. Memorable.
In comparison to the groups from the other company with had over 15 people per group, I was very glad I went with Scuba Iceland. The more personal attention and smaller ratio helped with the experience. Also, from a cost point of view, they don't charge extra 5000 isk like some companies for pick up.
